The Lost Jewel
Dark clouds
Grey sky
Dark nights
Dull days
It felt like
World was going
To Heraclitus for advice
Everybody sad
Everybody searching
Something colored
Searching for happiness
For everything was black
Nobody contented
‘t grew dark ’cause of lies
Day-by-day it grew darker
Those of great knowledge
Those of great wisdom
Those masters and scholars
Never were humble
So the world was lost in Nyx’s darkness
They searched for it
Up and above
Down and under
In the depths of oceans and seas known
Till realms known
But never found
But then
He was born
A baby
A rainbow
A colored jewel
For he was true
For he was humble
For he was innocent
For he was ignorant
For he was happy
Yes they were all jewels
They were happy
They were a rainbow
But as they grew old
They were soaked
They were dipped
And covered in the dirt
The dirt of sins
The dirt of lies
The dirt of anger
The dirt of vengeance
It dried on them all
Let no more jewels
Be in the dirt of the world
Let every jewel shine
Let them search for themselves
For they were the rainbow they searched
They themselves were the jewel they searched for
Let them be children again...
