                                                            Left unnoticed

I lie at the shade

Waiting to be stamped

And crushed by those so called humans

 

I was part of a huge tree

But when I fell no one noticed

When I was atop the tree

No one noticed

 

Except for a day

When those humans came

Came to take pictures of me

As if I were a celebrity

 

I don’t see them very often

They care for my mother

Only on that day

Is that a special day, I don’t know?

 

My mother gave them shade

Gave them everything she had

Like she gave me and my kin

But they!

 

They trampled her children, us

They set us to fire

They cut us off our mother

They killed her

 

My mother was home to many

But now!

She was a boon to my father, Earth

But now her killing is a bane for him

 

Those humans owe me my mother’s life

My life

I used to be reborn on my mother’s lap

But now I am mostly left to perish

 

Nowhere to be reborn!

 

Don’t we all want to be with our parents?

But those selfish brats …

Leave us to perish

 

 A time will come

When my father will seek revenge
