Why should it be like this?

They call raising voice for rights

Pride

They deny us the right to question

 

They are being proud of being men

If we raise our voice it is considered against the rules

We are to follow the rules

They can do whatever they like

 

They expect us to follow

When they don’t

This world will never be peaceful or a happy place for us

If you don’t stop discriminating

 

They have never heard women speak

They are afraid what if we dominate

They are said to be stronger

We are taught we are weak

 

They are said to be courageous

Even to walk out in the night

Is the night a special kind of monster

That eats only women

 

They are said to be courageous

Then why do you fear our powerful existence

They say all are equal

Where is equality in inequality

 

What do they preach?

Do they follow it?

Nobody knows oh I’m sorry

We should not question right…

 

Why do you fear our coming

Why do you name as ‘proud’

And manufacturing defect

When speak against the injustice we face

 

Yes, we are proud to be ourselves

But you don’t let us speak

You make us even question our existence

What have we done to you?

 

Our voice is never heard

You judge without paying heed

What have done to you?

 

Nobody says you can

We believe in you

All they say is you can’t

And when we prove we are called “proud”

 

Let us be called so

But please don’t discriminate us

You will never know

What will become of you in the future?

 

First follow what you preach

Then come to teach

It will reach

Hearts of each

You meant to reach…
